I Thessalonians 5:23 - “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Man is a Triune being composed of body, soul and spirit.
Believers of the End-Time Message know that after the seven-sealed Book of Revelation 5 was revealed to God’s end-time prophet William Marrion Branham in 1963, he has taught us the correct placement of these three realms of man in their proper order. First is the outside body, which is composed of five senses – see, hear, taste, smell and feel. Then inside of that body comes next, is the spirit, which also has five inlets – memory, conscience, reasoning, imagination and affection. And then the central realm of man is the soul, which is also the innermost being of man. The soul has only two faculties – it is either controlled by faith or doubt, by God or by Satan.
THE SOUL – MAN’S CONTROL TOWER
In the following sermons, Brother Branham explained to us that the soul is man’s control tower:
“That little inside of the inside, that's where you start, which is your soul; then come from that, you're a spirit; and then you become a living being. Now, the living being has five senses, to contact; the second has five senses. That's the outside body: see, taste, feel, smell, and hear. The inside body has love and conscience, and so forth, five senses. But the inside of the inside, the control tower, it's either God or Satan. “And last Sunday when we was going into those cycles, about how that the five senses on the outer realm. That's the inlet, five senses to the body. On the inside of that man is a man called spirit, and he has five senses: Think--thought, and thought, and love, and conscience, and so forth. Now, you can't think with your body. You think with your mind. But down on the inside of that, next realm, the third realm, is the soul; and that's predestinated by God. A man is made up in the system of a tabernacle: in the outer courts, then holy place, and the holiest of holies; the Shekinah glory on the inside, the veil. (THE.MESSIAH_ SHREVEPORT.LA TUESDAY_ 61-0117)
"A
soul, good or bad, death doesn't change it... What is a soul?
It's you. You are a soul. The part inside of you. And when you die,
ever what shape that soul's in, that's the way it goes. It goes to its destination.
You couldn't pull it up no matter how much you'd do for it; that soul's got
to be changed here, born again.
The soul, now remember, good or bad, death doesn't have one thing to do with
it. Death just takes it to its destination. You hear it?
And if you still got the world and the love of the world in it, it'll die
with you, 'cause the world must die. God's condemned the world; that's the
world order. God has condemned it and it's got to die. And if that world's
in you, you'll die with that world. My, I don't see how it could be any plainer.
See? And if it's good, borned of God, it has to go to God. If it's of the

The soul is the nature of the spirit. Whatever you are in your spirit shows where your influence is coming from. Your influence can either come from above or from beneath.
“Just below the regions of mortal beings lays the realm of demon power; below that--just above that lays the souls of the unjust; below it lays the very domain of Satan: hell. Then just above us lays the Holy Spirit; then under the Altar lays the souls of the just men; the next is God Himself. ”Natural astronaut is... has something to control him. When the astronaut is in the air, he has something backwards here, back down here on the earth, that controls him. It's called radar. That radar moves him around, shows where he's at, tells what he's doing. And that radar controls him from a radar tower, here on earth. That's the natural astronaut.
So the spiritual astronaut has a control Power, has a control tower, too. It's not down here, like man is. It's up There. And it's the Holy Ghost that's in him, that's controlling him, a tower of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It's under control, keeps him in control by the Word; not in a bunch of fanaticism, some whooped up nonsense; but, THUS SAITH THE LORD, and it happens. It's always under control. He's got a control tower, that's the Holy Ghost. And the Word is His program, and he lays right into that program. ”Now we find, God gives the control tower to you, to give to you the things that you need. Now, the control tower in you is what directs you. And this thirst runs in on this control tower, and tells you what you have need of, spiritually speaking. The control tower in the body, and in the soul, also. There is a control tower in the body, that tells you the need that's needed in your body, and it's brought to you by thirst. THE SOUL DWELLS IN THE HEART OF MAN
”And about six weeks ago, I was in Chicago, and a great line on the front page, where science has found that in the human heart, in the center of the human heart, is a little compartment where even a corpuscle or blood cell never touches. The animal life hasn't got it, but the human has got it. And science says, "It's the occupation of the soul." (THE.WATERS.OF.SEPARATION_ MACON.GA MONDAY_ 55-0606)
Right down in the heart, in the center of the heart, there's a little compartment where there's not even a blood cell in it. It's not in the animal heart, only in the human heart. And they say, it's the occupation, or the occupant of the soul. The soul lives in the heart. So after all, a man believes in his heart. You think with your mind, but you believe with your heart… God stays on the control tower in your heart, controls your emotions, controls your faith, controls all you are. When God comes into the heart, He takes over… Man's always trying to achieve something by his head. He's supposed to achieve, but by his heart. That's the control tower where God controls him, and directs his thoughts, directs his walks, directs his emotions… All the rest of your body belonged to you, but that heart belongs to God. That God made Himself a little room in there, so He could set in the controlling tower that He could guide you.. . Now, that is the way you accepted Jesus. When He's knocking at your heart He wants to come in to be your Lord. "Lord" means "rulership." He comes into your heart, knowing that He made that heart for Himself. "Here is a human heart, and here is a human heart. Now, this one over here has a snake in it; that's sin. Here he has is life. This one over here has a Dove in it, which is the Holy Spirit. The devil chose man’s head for his control tower and gave him the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. But God chose a man's heart for His control tower and gives him the Tree of Life. The devil makes man see things and look through his eyes. But God in man’s heart makes him believe things that he cannot see. Faith is the evidence of thing not seen. In the heart of man is the throne of God. Satan took the eye, a man's head, to control him by his head. But God took his heart.
SIN MARRED THAT SOUL
“And after this man sinned, he marred that soul. Blackness, darkness come into it. And then God came down and lived in man, suffered with man, and redeemed man; and the Holy Spirit comes into man and drives that blackness and sin away for him, and brings it back into perfect fellowship, a part of God. 3: 23- For ALL have sinned, and come short of the
glory of God.
I JOHN 1:8-10 - If we say that we have no sin, we deceive
ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful

If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and his Word is not

THE NEW BIRTH IS REQUIRED
“Except a man be born again, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God” (John 3:3)

A soul that has undergone the process of the New Birth is under the control of God and will always believe God’s Word by faith. A soul that is unregenerated is under the control of Satan and will always doubt God’s Word and reject it in favor of man-made ideas, creeds, philosophies, traditions, dogmas and intellectual conceptions of men.
Ezekiel 36:26-27 - "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do [them]".

WAR OF THE FLESH VERSUS THE SPIRIT
“There
is a control tower of the soul, and one for the body, and each tower is a
warning caller for the needs of the other. Each one calls to the
need for what the caller is calling for, it sends out a wave of warning. For
instance, the flesh thirst to satisfy the desires that's in the body,
and the spirit desires for the things that's in the soul, desire
is, and many times these war one against the other. We find there, what's
a great trouble today, that too many people try to live between those two
desires. For, one of them desires the things of the earth, the other desires
the things of Heaven.
Like Paul said, describes it in Romans 7:21, "When I
would do good, then evil is nigh." When you try, did you ever have that
in experience, Christians? That when you're trying to do something that's
worth-while, go to make an effort to do something that's good, then you find
out that there is the Devil, on every hand, just to upset you. That when you
are starting to do something, and there is something always trying to upset
you in doing it, do it anyhow. That's the Devil there, trying to keep you
from doing what's right. When they find out that they're trying to do something,
and everything is just blocking it off on both sides, they say, "It might
not been the will of the Lord." See? Now don't let the Devil lie to you
like that.
The first thing, is find out whether it's the will of God, or not. And
then if you want to know whether it's the will of God, look into the Bible.
There is the thing that sets you straight, is the Word of God; and
then if you see it's in the Word of God, for you to do it.” (THIRST_

God wants to lead man, but man wants to lead himself. Therefore, there is a war constantly. The outer man wants to go after what he sees with his eyes (bodily senses). But the inward man loves to do things pertaining to the Spirit of God.
ROMANS
7:14-25 state:
"For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under
sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but
what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto
the law that [it is] good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that
dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no
good thing: for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which
is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which
I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that
do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would
do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the
inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of
my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit
the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,

THE PHYSICAL BODY
I CORINTHIANS
15:44-49-
"There is a NATURAL body, and there is a SPIRITUAL
body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the
last Adam [was made] a quickening Spirit. The first man [is] of the earth,
EARTHY: the second man [is] the Lord from heaven. As [is] the earthy,
such [are] they also that are earthy: and as [is] the HEAVENLY, such [are]
THEY also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy,
we shall also bear the IMAGE of the heavenly."
II CORINTHIANS
5:1-2
" For we know that if our earthly house of [this]
tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with
hands, eternal in the heavens.
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house
which is from heaven".
I CORINTHIANS
15:40-
" [There are] also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial:
but the glory of the celestial [is] one, and the [glory] of the terrestrial
[is] another."
But we know that we're animal life. We're plant life out of the earth. As I was saying the other day at our dear sister's funeral, we are a bunch of sixteen elements of the earth of cosmic light, and petroleums, and things put together. The body is the flesh that you look at that must rot. It was born by sexual desire of father and mother. It must rot. It's no good. Therefore in the new birth, in the resurrection when--when you're brought forth again in a new body, it'll be God's creative power that'll speak like He did to Adam and you'll come forth. Let's take before there in the beginning of the world. Now, the lily come from the earth, so did you. If that be so, then we were here; our bodies were on the earth before there was any life here. We are made of sixteen different elements of the earth. That's potash, calcium, petroleum, cosmic light, and so forth, and held together by atoms: sixteen elements of the earth. Then, if that is so, which is scientifically so, then we really... Our bodies were laying spread out on this earth before there was any type of life on the earth. Potash, calcium, petroleum, and cosmic light was here at the creation. As the volcanic was thrown out, they tell us, that bursted and formed the materials of the earth and so forth, was, it just a burning brimstones as it was Satan's procession as he walked up-and-down the fiery brimstone of the earth. Did you ever notice a little baby when it's born, its little muscles twitching and jerking? But when it comes to the earth, it receives a spirit, and then it becomes a living soul. And as soon as the soul goes back from that little body, there's another one waiting for it. See? Because, first, God makes the soul and spirit; it just goes to the bodies. And--and when we leave here, we only change dwelling places and go to another one. "For if this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting." So that's our consolation. It's just like
a little baby. When a little baby is conceived in the mother's womb, it's
just flesh and blood, jumping, quivering. But as soon as it's born, you don't
see it, but there's a spirit and soul hanging near that mother to come into
that baby just as soon as it's born. Just as soon as that baby is
born, God has created a soul and created a spirit to be in that baby just
as soon as it's born into this world. That little baby becomes matured,
and it begins to learn; then it becomes a living soul when it knows what's
right and wrong. Then it's got, just like Adam and Eve, set before a tree
of right and wrong. It makes its choice. And then it becomes intelligent.
It's growing all the time in God's great economy.

In Genesis 2, there was no man to till the soil, and God made man out of the dust of the earth, not in His image, but in the image of animal life. And he put the spirit of man in this animal man here, and he become a living soul. Now, that's the difference between a man and the animal. We're taught that our bodies come from the earth. We're made of sixteen different elements. That's petroleum, cosmic light, and oh, potash, and calcium, and so forth, sixteen different elements. That's the body. How do we get it built up like this? We eat food. Every day when we put in food, something died. If you eat today, something had to die so you could live. Every time... Because you're living, something dies because you live. If you eat beef, the cow died. If you eat mutton, the sheep died. If you eat fish, the fish died. If you eat bread, the wheat died. THEOPHANY - OUR CELESTIAL BODY
II CORINTHIANS

"For we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were
dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not

For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our
house which is from heaven".
"They call it a theophany, that when we leave here we go in somewhere else. Whatever it may be, I take the apostle's Word, when he said, "If this earthly tabernacle or dwelling place be dissolved, we have one already waiting to move from this into that." ( ENTOMBMENT.title JEFF.IN ER 55-72 57-0420)
And the Logos, which was the Son of God went out, created by these great fountains of purity, God, as those Spirits went out, and it created the Logos. And it was a body. It was in the form of what we are now, which is called in the clergy way of speaking it, a theophany. It's a body that doesn't have a spirit in it. It's a body that's waiting for you Christians. Theophany is a human body that's glorified, not exactly with flesh and blood like it will be in it's glorified stage, but it is of a form of a human body that doesn't eat, neither does it drink, but it's--it's a body, a body that's waiting for us as soon as we leave this one. Now, in there, we enter into that body. And that's the kind of body that God was. For He said, "Let Us make man in Our own image and in our likeness." Now, when man become into that body, he had control of all the fishes, and fowls, and--and beasts of the field. And then there was no man to till the soil (Genesis 2). He done made male and female, but there was no man to till the soil. Then God made man out of the dust of the earth. He give him a hand like a--like a chimpanzee, give him a foot like a bear. He give him... He made him on the image... And this earthly body is in the image of animal life, and it's made out of the same kind of material. Your body's made just the same kind of material as a horse, or a dog, or anything like that. It's made out of calcium, potash, petroleum, cosmic light. You're just no... All flesh like that is... Not the same flesh, it's different flesh, but it's made out of the dust of the earth where it come from. When Jesus was manifested in the Old Testament in a theophany, in the Person of Melchisedec, not a priesthood, but the Person, the Man... See? For this Man had yet not been born, but He was in a theophany so He had no father, no mother. He was God Himself. He was manifested in the form of a Man called King of Salem, which is King of Peace and King of Righteousness. See? He was Melchisedec. In the beginning
God was a Spirit. And all the fountain of goodness and mercy and power, and
all the good things of love, God was the center of that fountain. And
then the Logos that went out of God in the beginning become what we would
call a theophany, or a--a supernatural body. God is just not like
the air, but He's in a body. Moses seen Him pass and said it looked like the
back part of a man, and so forth. And then that same theophany was made flesh
and dwelled among us. And we beheld Him, the only begotten of the Father,

And then all the fullness of the Trinity dwelt in Him, both Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, all in that. And that's the very way we go, plumb back to the original beginning of God. And then when we die from this life, we go into the body which... If this earthly tabernacle is dissolved, we have a theophany to go into, a body celestial. Then at the coming of the Lord Jesus, this body is picked from the earth again and made in a glorified state to live in His Presence forever. When a baby is being--a baby is being formed in a womb of a mother, soon as it's put there... See, see? But first it's a spirit. As that spirit begins to take on flesh, a little germ of life begins to take on flesh, and as soon as it drops from its... Now, in the womb, it's a little, quivering, jerking muscles. We know that. That's cells. Just like you take a horse hair and put it in the water, it'll cap over and it'll move, and you touch it and it'll jump. That's the way a baby is. But as soon as it's borned in this world and breathes its first breath, it becomes a living soul. See? Because as soon as the earthly body is born into the world, there's a celestial body, or a spiritual body, to take ahold of it. And as soon as this natural body is dropped, there is a heavenly tabernacle waiting for it: "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, there is a heavenly tabernacle waiting for it." Just as soon as--as the baby's dropped into the earth in flesh, there's a spiritual body waiting to receive it. TRUE HOLY GHOST BAPTISM IS IN THE SOUL
People can be baptized by the Holy Ghost in the BODY realm and in the SPIRIT realm and still be lost and go to hell. People can feel the anointing of Holy Ghost (through their bodies) and shake, jump, shout, dance in the Spirit and speak in tongues and still be lost. People can cast out devils and heal the sick, and do miracles in the Spirit and still be lost just like Judas. The true Holy Ghost Baptism of the Holy Spirit rests in the SOUL realm. Unless that soul is predestinated by God, it can mimic and impersonate Christianity but still be of the devil.

“TASTING”
THE HOLY GHOST is far more DIFFERENT from being BAPTIZED WITH IT. A lot of
people just “tasted” the goodness of God but in the end they still
perished. It’s a type of Israel in the wilderness coming out from Egypt.
They have tasted the signs and wonders done by the Holy Ghost through the
ministry of Moses. They have seen the mighty works of the hand of God by sending
plagues to Egypt, they have crossed and walked over the dry Red Sea, they
ate of the Manna that fell in the wilderness from heaven, they drank from
the Rock, and have seen many many more miracles by Moses. Yet only Joshua
and Caleb was able to reach the Promised Land. All the rest of the ten spies
and their tribes perished. And today, the promise Land of today for the Christian
is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. How many will ever get to it? "Strait

"You might be able to try to say you have; you might be able to show
some evidence of some emotion; but unless your life is vindicating what you're
professing to have, you still haven't got It. No matter how many
emotions, how much you jump, run, sensations, speaking in tongues, or shouting,
or whatever you might lay it upon (which is all right, I believe in all that
too.), but unless your life copes with your testimony, then you haven't got

You say, "Well, I've received the Holy Ghost." That's good; that's
what you should've done. But if the life isn't in there...Remember,
the weed receives the same power that falls on the wheat to make it grow,
makes the weed shout too. The little old weed stand right up and
just as happy as the wheat is (That's right.), lives by the same life. And
a sinner can stay in the Presence of God, shout the victory, and live like
a Christian. But if there isn't something different in the heart...
He could have the same power to cast out evil spirit. Jesus said so. He can
preach the Gospel just as good as any other preacher can do. That's exactly
what; Jesus said so. The Bible teaches it. Yes, sir. "Though I speak
with tongue of men and angels, though I give my body to be burned as a sacrifice,
I give an my goods to feed the poor, I--I have faith to move mountains, I
do all these things, I preach in His Name, I cast out devils in His Name,"
he said, "I am nothing." So he could do it, and "nothing."

"Now, what do I do, Brother Branham? Do I shout?" Not necessary.
"Do I speak with tongues?" Not necessary. You can shout
and speak with tongues both and still live like a--like a heathen; you
still lust for women; you can still smoke and drink and everything else. I
seen people speak with tongues and go right out and pull some of the dirtiest,
crookedest deal I ever seen. I seen them shout and cry crocodile tears and
would steal a--anything he'd get ahold of. I seen them walk out, and every
girl that goes down the street, turn. Uh-huh, that's one good sign you haven't
got It. That's right. But, brother, when you've passed from death unto Life,
all those things become dead, and you're a new creature in Christ Jesus. If
you see something wrong, you'll pray for it: "God be merciful."
And if you see troubles, instead of going and tattling and trying to make
it worse, you'll try to get to the person and straighten it up and quieten
it right quick. That's the Spirit of God in you. If you make a mistake (You're
subject to them.)... If you make a mistake, you'll correct it right quick,
"Don't let the sun go down on your wrath." That's how you know you
